i read priscilla entry on how God helped her during her eoys and i was really touched by God's goodness that i felt that i shld just share with everyone my experience too.
it happened during the prelims. the physics paper. i had been failing physics day in day out. in sec3 i did ok for mid-yr but not too well for the 2nd half. in fact i failed physics for eoys. in sec4, i failed almost every single test; for the one or two i passed, i scored only 13 or 14 upon 25. i totally gave up on physics, i even hinted that i wanted to drop physics, but no, my mom said,"doing triple sci in jc will give u a better chance to enter medicine faculty. so, u must complete ur physics no matter wad." she even put me in tuition. i dreaded physics so much that i even skipped classes, though ms poh was quite a teacher i must say. so..with half-reluctance and frustration, i decided to do physics anyway, to satisfy my mom then.
time flew, prelims was near. 4 days before the physics paper did i start revising for it. i told myself that i'm not goin to use it for l1r5 anyway. but i prayed to the Lord that i cld at least get a pass or else my cert wld be tarnished. haha.. my foundation was pretty weak so i didn't dare ask for more. i rmb that for mcq i didn't have enough time becos so long on each ques. furthermore there were 5 which i really didn't know how to do. and i tikam-ed. i got 4 of them right in the end. for open-ended, it was surprisingly quite a breeze, except for the one on radioactivity. i lost more than 5 marks cos i simply left them blank. as for the either/or ques, it was electricity. i knew God was there to help me cos i was able to handle them and (did them correctly) although i knew nuts bout the high-low thingy. neither did i see that they were 'discrete'. nevertheless, i got them rite!
it was one of the very few physics papers which i felt i cld manage. true enough, not only did i get a pass, i got b3, which is quite an achievement for someone getting cs and ds. I truly thank God for hearing my prayers, for answering them and giving me more than i cld imagine. indeed, delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart! Amen!
